The Run With Freedom 2-Year Guarantee

At Run With Freedom, we build gear to handle the rigours of marathon training and unpredictable UK weather. We are committed to engineering products that last, which is why we back every adjustable harness with a comprehensive manufacturer’s warranty.

1. The 2-Year "Ironclad" Warranty (Manufacturing Defects)

We warrant that all Run With Freedom hardware (Running Harnesses and Packs) will be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of original purchase.

What is Covered:

• Buckles & Hardware: Failure of adjustment sliders, clips, or retention systems under normal load.

• Stitching & Seams: Unravelling or splitting of structural seams (including shoulder strap reinforcement).

• Zippers: Mechanical failure of zipper tracks or sliders (jamming/splitting).

• Fabric Integrity: Premature delamination or tearing at stress points not caused by external accidents.

What is NOT Covered (Exclusions):

• Subjective Dissatisfaction: This warranty covers defects, not personal preference. We do not cover products that function as designed but do not meet a specific user's subjective expectations regarding fit or "feel."

• Normal Wear & Tear: Fading of colours due to UV exposure, material piling (bobbling) from friction with clothing, or natural softening of materials over time.

• Accidental Damage: Rips, tears, or cuts caused by thorns, fences, falls, or animal bites.

• Improper Care: Damage caused by machine washing at high temperatures (over 30°C), tumble drying (this voids the warranty immediately), or using bleach/fabric softeners.

• Modifications: Any alterations, sewing, or repairs performed by a third party.

2. The Hydration Flask Policy

Note: Soft flasks are considered "consumable" items as bite valves naturally wear down with use.

• Coverage: The 500ml Soft Flask is covered for 6 months against leaks caused by seam failure or manufacturing defects.

• Exclusion: We do not cover bite valves that have been chewed through or punctured, nor do we cover mould growth resulting from improper cleaning/drying.

3. Returns Policy (Unused Items Only)

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is in brand new, resaleable condition.

• Condition: The item must be returned unused, unwashed, and with all original tags and packaging intact.

• Hygiene: For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on hydration flasks that have been filled or used.

• Rejection: We reserve the right to reject returns that show signs of wear, sweat, odour, or damage. These items will be returned to the customer at their expense.

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

We aim to make this process painless. If you experience a hardware failure:

1. Email Us: Send a message to info@runwithfreedom.com with the subject line: "Warranty Claim - [Order Number]".

2. Provide Proof: Attach 2-3 clear photos showing the defect and the general condition of the vest.

3. The Solution: If the claim is validated as a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace the item free of charge. If the specific model is out of stock, we will provide a store credit equal to the purchase price.

5. Statutory Rights

The legal bit: This commercial guarantee is offered by Run With Freedom as an addition to your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. It does not affect your legal right to expect goods to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
