1. Information We Collect
When you visit our website or place an order, we collect certain personal information necessary to provide our services. This includes:
- Device Information: Your web browser version, IP address, time zone, cookie details, what sites or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with our website. This is collected automatically via cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, or pixels.
- Order Information: Your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number. This is collected directly from you when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase. Payment data (such as credit or debit card numbers) is inputted by you at checkout but is processed via secure, encrypted tokenization and is not accessible or stored by us.
2. Lawful Basis and How We Use Your Personal Information
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), we must disclose the specific legal grounds we rely upon to process your data. We use your personal information for the following purposes based on these legal frameworks:
- Performance of a Contract: Necessary to fulfill orders, process payments, arrange shipping via Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), and provide order updates or transaction confirmations.
- Legitimate Interests: Necessary to screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, safeguard our digital store infrastructure, manage back-office business accounting, and optimize your overall browsing experience through web analytics.
- Explicit Consent: Required to provide targeted advertising, retargeting campaigns, product review requests, and direct marketing communications via Seguno Mail, Google Ads, or Meta Ads. You have the right to withdraw this consent at any absolute time.
3. Sharing and Disclosing Your Personal Information
We share your Personal Information with trusted third-party service providers to help us run our store, process transactions, and fulfill our services, as described above. Our data processors are divided into the following business operational frameworks:
E-Commerce Platform Infrastructure:
• We use Shopify to power our entire online storefront, manage customer accounts, securely process checkouts, and generate essential store transactional data.
Logistics, Storage, and Order Fulfillment:
• We share your name, delivery address, phone number, and order details with Amazon (including Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment / MCF and Amazon FBA channels) to pick, pack, and ship your goods. We may also share this data with integrated delivery aggregators, couriers, or third-party logistics apps to facilitate domestic and international transport.
Financial Processing, Payment Gateways, and BNPL Providers:
• To process payments and prevent transaction fraud, checkout interactions are handled securely by our integrated merchant networks. Payment card data (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) is fully encrypted during transfer and processed externally; we do not see or store raw card numbers. This processing framework includes standard card merchants, accelerated payment profiles (such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay), and Buy-Now-Pay-Later networks (such as Klarna or Clearpay) to assess purchase eligibility and execute payment processing. Their handling of your data is governed by their respective privacy policies.
Business Operations, Accounting, and Bookkeeping:
• For business administration and regulatory tax reporting, transactional records, invoices, customer names, and purchase data are securely passed into our automated ledger connectors, specifically A2X, and synchronized with our core financial software, Xero.
Marketing, Analytics, and Customer Experience:
• We share personal and device data with Google (including Google Analytics, Google Ads, and conversion tracking) and Meta Platforms via tracking pixels to measure ad effectiveness and deploy retargeting campaigns.
• We use the Seguno Email App to securely host our email subscriber lists, distribute automated order retention workflows, and manage promotional newsletter broadcasts.
• We use integrated product review systems and customer support ticketing software to collect verified buyer feedback post-purchase and manage incoming customer service correspondence.
4. Behavioral Advertising
As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. You can easily opt-out of targeted advertising at any time by visiting the settings pages of the platforms listed below:
